Custom videos in Studio

Everyone's clips and photos, made into one video

Send a link to the people in your video. They send their phone clips and photos, no account needed. You get a storyboard first, every clip read and tagged with who is in it, and each scene cut for you with the real voices kept. Change any piece, add a voiceover or don't, and download the finished video.

How it works

From a brief to a finished video

  1. 1. Start with a storyboard

Give the video a title, say what it is for and pick its shape: wide for a screen or YouTube, upright for TikTok and Reels, or square. List who is in it. Before anyone films, a storyboard is drafted from the brief: each scene sketched as a wireframe with its shot, the words on screen, who is in it, the sound and what to ask people to film. Use it to set up the scenes in one click.

  2. 2. Everyone sends their clips by link

Make a send-in link for everyone, one person or one scene, for 7, 30 or 90 days, with a message saying what to film. People open it on their phone, give their name, pick their part and send clips and photos straight from their camera roll, no account needed. Stop a link at any time. Your team can upload too.

  3. 3. Every upload read and tagged

Each clip's sound is split off as its own track, and what is said is transcribed with every word's time. Each upload is tagged with the people on your list who sent it, are named in its note or file name, or are mentioned in it. Tap a person to see all their clips together, and who is still missing.

  4. 4. Make it work, scene by scene

Say what you want for a scene and the edit is planned from what was sent: which part of each clip, the order, slow motion or speed ups, words on screen, a title, and whose sound plays. It uses only what is in the uploads, never an invented name, place or quote. Change any piece, then save and render.

  5. 5. Join, voice and share

Add a voiceover in any voice, record your own, or leave it with the clips' own sound. Join the scenes into the finished video, download it, and share a link your client can watch and comment on at the exact moment.

The real voices

Every clip's sound, split off

The best part of a team video is people telling it in their own words. So each clip's sound is taken off as its own track the moment it arrives, and you choose what it does in every scene.

What people say is transcribed too, so planning a scene can find the line worth keeping and the words on screen spell their names right.

  • Keep its soundThe clip plays with its own sound, slowed or sped with it.
  • No soundThe picture only, for a clip shot in wind or a noisy room.
  • Sound carries onSomeone starts telling their story and it keeps going under the next shots.
  • Under it allOne clip's sound plays under the whole scene, from the moment you pick.
What you get

Edited for you, never invented

  • Big phone videos welcome

Clips and photos go straight from the phone or browser to storage, many at once, with a progress bar.

  • Any clip in any shape

An upright clip in a wide video sits whole over a blur, is cropped to fill at the top, middle or bottom, or sits over a background AI paints out around it.

  • Words on screen

Titles and words in Beyond's caption fonts, sized for the shape, with names spelt the way people gave them.

  • Photos brought to life

Tick that everyone in them agreed and a few photos can be filmed with gentle movement. Faces, people and places stay as they are.

  • A voiceover if you want one

New Zealand, UK and US voices, your own recording, or none at all, with the clips' sound turned down under it.

  • Client comments

Share one link and your client comments on a moment or a scene, no account needed. Reply and mark each one done.

  • Yours to download

Download the finished video for the big screen, your website, YouTube or socials.

  • Fix one scene, not all

Each scene renders on its own, so changing one never redoes the rest.

Honest by design

Real people, as themselves

A video of real people has to stay true to them. The edit works only with what was sent: their clips, their photos, their words. It never makes up a name, a quote, a place or a result.

  • People tagged by name, never by scanning faces
  • Photos brought to life only when you tick that everyone agreed
  • Senders see only the title, your message and the parts, nothing else
  • Words on screen only from the uploads and what you type
Made for

Any video many people film

  • Conferences and staff days

A video for the big screen from the whole team's clips and hobbies.

  • Events and launches

Highlights from everyone who was there, sent in on the night.

  • Weddings and milestones

Guests' and family's clips and photos made into one story.

  • Clubs and schools

A season or a year told by the people in it.

Questions

Custom videos, answered

Do the people sending clips need an account?

No. They open the send-in link, give their name, pick their part of the video and send clips and photos with a note. They see the video's title, your message and the parts by title, nothing else in your account. You can stop the link at any time, and what they already sent stays.

Does AI change what people filmed?

No. Clips are cut, ordered, slowed or sped and framed, but the picture is what was filmed. Photos are only brought to life with AI when you tick that everyone in them agreed, and then faces, bodies and places are kept as they are. The edit only uses names, places and words from the uploads, never invented ones.

How does it know who is in each clip?

By name, never by face. You list the people in the video, and each upload is tagged with the ones who sent it, are named in its note or file name, or are mentioned in what is said. You can add or take off a tag by hand. Nothing scans faces.

Can I keep the original sound?

Yes. Every clip's sound is split off as its own track. Keep it with the clip, mute it, let it carry on under the next shots, or play one clip's sound under the whole scene. With a voiceover, the clips' sound plays quieter underneath.

What shapes can it make?

Wide 16:9 for a screen or YouTube, upright 9:16 for TikTok and Reels, or square 1:1. Clips of the other shape are framed to fit, whole or cropped.

What does it cost?

Pay as you go: AI work comes off prepaid credit in New Zealand dollars, and new accounts start with NZ$10 free. No card and no plan to pick. Here, AI work means transcribing clips, planning a scene, drafting the storyboard or bringing a photo to life. Rendering scenes and joining the video is free.

Is it a New Zealand company?

Yes. Beyond Ads is made by Beyond (Global Support Limited) in New Zealand, and everything it writes is in New Zealand English.
